First-Ever Orientation of Rotaract SRCC

Today, the Rotaract Club of SRCC held its first and extremely successful orientation.
As it was our very first orientation, we were both nervous and optimistic. Initially, we were skeptical about whether any students would attend. However, as time passed, intrigued and curious students began crossing the threshold of the orientation hall and making their way in.
After waiting for a little while, we began the session. The President, opened with a brief introduction to the club and highlighted its national and international reach. Following this, we introduced our enthusiastic cabinet members. The details of the various wings and departments were also explained meticulously.
Since Rotaract Club is known for its live projects, the Project Heads presented different project ideas, which captured everyone’s attention. Our members then encouraged the prospective applicants to join the club, elaborating on the benefits and opportunities. The recruitment process was also clearly explained.
Soon after, we moved on to fun activities. The first was a guessing game where the audience had to identify famous Rotaractors such as Thomas Edison, Roald Amundsen, and Bill Gates. The next activity, “Two Truths and One Lie,” turned out to be the most exciting. In this, each participant, including cabinet members, shared two true statements and one false statement, while the others had to guess the lie. Our Teacher-in-Charge, Dr. Rutika Saini, also joined in, adding to the joy of the event.
We concluded the orientation with a quick overview of our upcoming website, where we also explained the recruitment procedure once again.
With such an encouraging start, we are hopeful for an engaging and successful tenure ahead.
