The evening is graced by DRR (District Rotaract Representative) Rishika Khanna, DRS (District Rotaract Secretary) Archit Bhatia, District Joint Secretary Daksh Sharma, and our Club’s ZRR (Zonal Rotaract Representative) Harnoor Kaur, representative of the Power Zone under which our club operates.
It began with the presentation of our club's future goals and expectations from the district. Being a newly chartered club, we were able to express our vision in fostering leadership, teamwork, and service-oriented initiatives in line with the core Rotaract values. Our expectations from the district were mainly guidance, mentorship, and inter-club collaborations that would enable us to make tangible impacts at the college and community levels.
The members of the cabinet shared the future of the club-social awareness drives, professional development workshops, and community service projects-all put together to provide a very strong foundation for the growth of the club. The visit also highlighted our ongoing initiatives and the unique impact they’re creating. One of our flagship projects, Kshitij, was appreciated for addressing the education of children of sex workers: it is a cause that only Rotaract Club of SRCC is currently working on. Additionally, through Project Pehchaan, we are doing something new by giving a voice to our support staff and recognizing their contribution to our community. Along with these, projects like Swabhimaan, Sparsh, Shaakha, Aarogyam, and Manodaya reflect our club’s commitment to women empowerment, elderly care, environmental action, healthcare, and mental well-being. Representatives of the district were pleased with our enthusiasm and provided feedback to help strengthen our initiatives.
The District Official Visit was a great platform for healthy discussions between our club and the district representatives. It provided an opportunity to put forward our ideas with openness and to receive constructive insights by some experienced Rotaractors. With the support and guidance of the district team, the Rotaract Club of SRCC will try to work together on projects that can bring about community development, youth engagement, and sustained change throughout the Rotaract year. All the officials provided their valuable feedback for the team to have a successful future for the club ahead.
Thus, it ended on an inspiring note that a reaffirmation of our commitment to actively contribute to the Rotaract movement in a most relevant manner. The visit was not only a means of evaluation but also one of motivation for this young team and set the right tone for a productive and impactful Rotaract year ahead.
